ABOUT THE TEACHER |
Barb Smith holds teaching certificates in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Teaching, Special Education, Kindermusik, and Elementary Vocal Music geared for Young Children. She also has a background in Psychology, Play Therapy, and Sign Language. She has been working with children from many cultures, and their families in the Ottawa area since 1978. She is a member of the Partnership of Kindermusik Educators in the National Capital Region . Barb has started outreach programmes for children in Low Income Community Centres and Community Houses in Ottawa West and South. Barb is the parent of two children and is very active in the community, as a member of The Friendship Force of Ottawa, and a volunteer for a family movie club called the Ottawa Family Cinema. Barb is extremely excited to be able to offer Music and Movement classes to families from all cultures in Ottawa . |
